Anyhow poor thing managed to give the Insulin shot to one of the sickies and run to buy a liver tablet for the other (ahem...me) in the break. I have to admire the dedication that she showed towards the movie. She managed to run around and toss the dinner plates and side by side eat and watch the movie...the dinner being an elaborate Kerala delicacy. I hate it when such things are made..more so cos mom has to put in so much effort...and its bad enough that i dont help with the little things but with things like these the guilt factor goes up a notch.
Anyhow, back to the movie....I do not think I will write the whole story here...but just tell you what all happened in and around it...am I smart or what..muahahaha...
I saw the movie yesterday finally in the afternoon thanks to Sony Pix..once again....they seem to repeat their movies quite a bit...It only gets irritating when you have reached a point where you cannot watch the same thing for the umpteenth time...whatever...i hope u get what I m saying..(whoever the u is)
I missed the first five mins of the movie....
The music was just mindblowing....loved every bit of it...Movies like these kinda make me feel useless....many a times...considering it has been my life long desire to play some instrument decently...

The movie seems to be a modern day adaptation of Oliver Twist..with Robin Williams playing the Fagin kinda character and they have tried to portray the Artful Dodger as well....in the first kid who plays the guitar...
but the similarity I felt was just in that part of the movie...the rest of it was pretty different....
The mother and the father were beautiful and the name Layla....wow...I just love the name...maybe its the number of songs written on it or the aura that the name has or something....

The little boy...I am feeling a little lazy to google the boy's name...oh what the hell...I ll do it...Freddie Highmore...
Ah, he is the same kid from Finding Neverland ,Charlie and the chocolate factory and Spiderwick Chronicles...

He has done a brilliant job, I have to say. He has that pristine look on his face, the only other time i remember seeing that kind of a face was on Oliver Twist...the kid who plays Oliver...don't remember his name again...I am not too good with names...but just recently I found out that the guy who played the kid is actually really old now and that he was MJ's good buddy or something and he might be the real father of MJ's daughter Paris....anyhow gossip aside...
The movie was awesome....and watch it properly...don't just watch it for the heck of it...i mean to say that give it the attention it deserves...it will hit u where it should...
Watch out for the way the kid plays the guitar..I wonder if that kind of playing is actually called something...seemed very much like slapping the guitar....
Lot of big names in the music too..
So a must watch...and don't keep postponing it like me...I would say..get it and watch it right away...
