Problems and Innovations for Mobile aka Cellphones...

Pain Point #1 –  Adjusting of Volume on the Cell phone during a call.

The Volume of any cell phone device does not auto adjust while making or receiving calls.

Solution:

Technology to identify the intensity of sound should be used and if above or below a particular level, should automatically be reduced or increased.

Pain Point #2 – Most mobile handsets are not water resistant.

When mobile handsets are subjected to any kind of moisture, they get spoilt right away.

Some feature should be included in the device to incorporate the Water Proof feature or it could be laminated if no other way to give some amount of water resistance.

Pain Point #3 – Battery life of a Mobile handset.

Battery life of any cell phone whatever be the make is never more than 15 to 20 hours.

The cell phone could have a mechanical way of charging it, maybe like a watch which runs on stored potential energy.

Pain Point #4 – The design of the cell phone is like a block which is not ergonomic in any way.

A better design would be, if the contour of the face was considered, just like the old phones and it was made in that manner or in the form of a headphone because that would be the best way to carry it around and use it.

Pain Point #5 –

Holding the cell phone in the hand while talking.

The cell phone could have 2 wires attached to it…one the speaker and another the mic. Hence the whole idea of having to press it to the ear while talking which is a pain can be eliminated.

The cell phone can be held in the hand while making the call or receiving it.

Pain Point #6 –

The Keypad can be difficult to handle when picking up or making a call in sleep.

The Keypad can have at least the numbers embossed so that it can be handled only by touch.

Pain Point #7 –

Roaming Charges.

This is an extra charge we pay every time we leave the boundary of our service provider’s immediate limit. Beyond this they have to connect through service providers and hence we have to pay additional charges.

Making the whole country run under one circuit will eliminate this charge and hence will make mobile usage free of roaming charges. One body will have to govern all the Service providers.

Pain Point #8 –

Breaking of handsets on falling down.

Handsets often break just because they fall down and if they are not in the cover. This can be avoided entirely, if the manufacturer decides to give the device a coating of rubber on the outside to cushion the fall and decrease damage.

Pain Point #9 –

Making messaging easier.

Common words can be incorporated in the keyboard making it much easier to type messages. Common words like the, you, me, etc.

This would reduce the time and the effort spent on typing the word on the screen.
